Tasks
Tasks help you break down project work into manageable items that can be assigned to crew members and tracked through completion.
Kanban Board
The Tasks tab displays tasks in a Kanban board with columns for each status. Drag and drop tasks to move them between columns or reorder within a column.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Backlog | Not yet ready to start |
| Ready | Ready to work on |
| In Progress | Work has begun |
| Blocked | Stuck or waiting on something |
| Done | Completed |
Click the + button in any column header to create a task with that status.

Updating Tasks
Changing Status
Drag the task card to a different column, or open the task and change the status.
Updating Installed Quantity
As work is completed:
- Open the task
- Update the Installed Quantity field
- Save the task
When you mark a task as Done, the installed quantity is automatically set to match the budgeted quantity (if it was still at 0).
Mark Done
Click Mark Done to quickly move a task to the Done column and auto-fill the installed quantity.
Comments
Add comments to tasks to communicate with your team:
- Open the task
- Scroll to the Comments section
- Type your message and click Send
Comments can include photos—useful for documenting issues, progress, or questions. All team members with access to the project can see task comments.
Pinned Plan Locations
Tasks can be pinned to specific locations on plan sheets, making it easy to see exactly where the work needs to happen:
- Open the task details
- View Pinned Locations to see where this task is marked on plans
- Tap any location to jump directly to that spot on the plan sheet
You can also pin tasks directly from the Plans viewer—see Plans for details.
