Reports
LogLoon compiles your project data into professional reports—automatically. Set up scheduled reports once, and they’ll be generated and emailed to stakeholders without any manual work.

- Photos - Documentation of current state
Task Report
A snapshot of all project tasks:
- Tasks grouped by status (Backlog, Ready, In Progress, Blocked, Done)

Creating Reports
Manual Reports
- Go to your project’s Reports tab
- Click + New Daily Report (or Progress/Task Report)
- Select the report date
- Click Capture Time & Tasks to auto-populate from project data
- Add weather, notes, and photos as needed
- Click Save Draft or Submit
Selecting a Report Date
The date selector lets you create reports for any date—including past dates. LogLoon accurately reconstructs what happened:
- Daily Reports: Shows time entries, tasks completed, and weather for that specific date
- Progress Reports: Shows progress as of that date (budgets vs. actuals at that point in time)
- Task Reports: Shows the state of all tasks as of that date
This means you can go back and generate a report you forgot to create, or review historical project status at any point.
Auto-Populated Data
When you create a report, LogLoon can automatically pull in:
- Labor hours from approved time entries for that date
- Task status from project tasks (current or as of the selected date)
- Progress data from cost code budgets and actuals
- Weather from your project’s location (via WeatherAPI)
Automated Reports

Setting Up a Schedule
- Go to your project’s Reports tab

Draft vs. Auto-Submit Mode
| Mode | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Draft | Report is created as a draft for the assignee to review, edit, and manually submit |
| Auto-Submit | Report is created, submitted, AND emailed to recipients automatically |
Email Recipients (Auto-Submit Only)
When using Auto-Submit mode, configure who receives the report:
- Select team members from your project roster
- Add external email addresses (comma-separated)
- Recipients get a professional email with a PDF download link
Report Workflow
Reports move through three statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | In progress, can be edited |
| Submitted | Sent for review, assignee notified |
| Approved | Reviewed and approved by a manager |
Managers and Admins can approve submitted reports. Approval is tracked with timestamp and approver name.
