Reports

LogLoon compiles your project data into professional reports—automatically. Set up scheduled reports once, and they’ll be generated and emailed to stakeholders without any manual work.

Report Types

Daily Report

A summary of the day’s activity:

  • Labor hours - Who worked and how many hours (by cost code)
  • Materials - Quantities used or delivered
  • Equipment - Hours of equipment usage
  • Weather - Morning, noon, and evening conditions
  • Notes - Schedule delays, weather impact, accidents/injuries
  • Photos - Progress photos from the day

Progress Report

Shows overall project status:

  • Time progress - Hours used vs. budgeted by cost code
  • Scope progress - Installed vs. budgeted quantities
  • Progress percentages - Visual breakdown of completion
  • Photos - Documentation of current state

Task Report

A snapshot of all project tasks:

  • Tasks grouped by status (Backlog, Ready, In Progress, Blocked, Done)
  • Task details including quantities and assignments
  • Pinned plan locations with thumbnail previews showing where each task is located
  • Optional: task comments and discussion history
  • Configurable filters for which statuses to include

Creating Reports

Manual Reports

  1. Go to your project’s Reports tab
  2. Click + New Daily Report (or Progress/Task Report)
  3. Select the report date
  4. Click Capture Time & Tasks to auto-populate from project data
  5. Add weather, notes, and photos as needed
  6. Click Save Draft or Submit

Selecting a Report Date

The date selector lets you create reports for any date—including past dates. LogLoon accurately reconstructs what happened:

  • Daily Reports: Shows time entries, tasks completed, and weather for that specific date
  • Progress Reports: Shows progress as of that date (budgets vs. actuals at that point in time)
  • Task Reports: Shows the state of all tasks as of that date

This means you can go back and generate a report you forgot to create, or review historical project status at any point.

Auto-Populated Data

When you create a report, LogLoon can automatically pull in:

  • Labor hours from approved time entries for that date
  • Task status from project tasks (current or as of the selected date)
  • Progress data from cost code budgets and actuals
  • Weather from your project’s location (via WeatherAPI)

Automated Reports

Set up scheduled reports to be generated automatically—no manual work required.

Setting Up a Schedule

  2. Click the Schedule button
  3. Choose the report type
  4. Configure the schedule:

Draft vs. Auto-Submit Mode

ModeWhat Happens
