Projects Overview
Projects are the foundation of LogLoon. Each project represents a construction job site where your crews track time, complete tasks, and document progress.
Creating a Project
- Go to the Projects tab
- Click + New Project
- Fill in the project details:
- Name (required) - The project or job name
- Start Date (required) - When work begins
- Timezone (required) - The project’s timezone for time tracking
- Address (optional) - Site address
- End Date (optional) - Expected completion date
- Click Create Project
You can add a project photo and upload plan sets after the project is created.
Project Tabs
Each project has these tabs:

| Plans | Upload PDF plan sets for your crew to view on mobile |
| Tasks | Create and assign work items to crew members |
| Reports | Daily reports, progress reports, and task reports |
| Photos | Progress photos from the field |
| Files | Project documents and attachments |
| Team | Manage who has access to this project |
Project Information
The Overview tab shows key project details:
- Name, address, start/end dates, and timezone
- Overall Progress - Time used vs budgeted, tasks completed vs total
- Progress by Cost Code - Breakdown of hours by cost code
Click Edit Project to update project details.
Cost Codes
Cost codes help you track time by category (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing, Framing).
- On the project Overview, click + Add Cost Code
- Select from your company’s cost codes
- Set the budgeted hours for this project
Your crew will select a cost code when clocking in, so you can track labor by category.
Who Can Access Projects?
Access depends on user role and project assignment:

| Admin | All projects |
| Manager | All projects |
| Field Worker | Assigned projects only |
Admins and Managers can add team members from the Team tab on each project, or schedule assignments from the Workforce tab.
